The Fontanini Nativity story of Jeremiah: Jeremiah was a devout and righteous shepherd. He believed with his heart every story of the prophesies of a Savior coming to earth, and was exultant when word reached his village of a divine birth. Sadly, few villagers shared his strong belief - they mocked him, and scoffed at his desire to travel to see this newborn King. Jeremiah's wife, however, told Jeremiah to follow his heart, and he set off to see the Child. As he came to the outskirts of the village, he approached two women at a well. He asked if they knew where the Christ Child lay, afraid that perhaps his trip had been in vain. But the women smiled gently at him, and pointed the way to the stable. His heart soared, and he knew he would carry a wonderful story home to his village.
