Description
Nativity Scene hand-made in the USA, the Companions Collection features hand cast bonded marble figures created by designer Linda McDonald. Add to your Companions Collection Nativity scene with Timaeus the Shepherd. Introduced to the Companions Collection in 2011.
From the Companions Collector Card: Timaeus had been a shepherd just like his father and grandfather before him. He loved his sheep, and every night, his sweet lilting whistle would gather them in from the fields so that they could sleep safely under his watchful eye. Timaeus especially loved his little black sheep, which was so very different from all the other sheep in his flock. Even when it wandered off lost or got stuck in the brambles; Timaeus would seek the black sheep out in order to bring it back home safely. Tonight, as he carried the little black sheep home again, he heard the most beautiful music he had ever heard: "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth, peace to all those of good will." What did it mean? Timaeus decided he and the little black sheep needed to find out.
The Christmas season is beautifully portrayed in this heirloom quality nativity set. Carefully chosen fabrics are applied to the bonded marble sculptures to add texture and an authentic first century appearance. Each year artist Linda MacDonald adds a new piece and retires an old one, and collectors are building value as they enjoy the beauty of this Christmas Nativity scene.
