Description
Set of elephant and elephant driver for the Marolin nativity scene 4.75 inch scale nativity display. Made by hand in Germany from a carefully composed combination of kaolin, chalk, paper fibers, organic paste and clay.
The drivers are attendants of the kings. They tend the riding and pack animals and ensure the safe transport of the wisemen. The elephant and elephant driver are scaled for a 12 cm nativity display. Elephant stands approx. 5.75 inches high.

This piece was originally designed in 1931 by Julius Weigelt and is still crafted today using the same traditions.
