Nativity scene handmade in Ecuador is set inside a small woven basket. Made using eucalyptus pods and marzapan with an anise star at the top.
Hand made in Ecuador by Rosa Inez, her family, and a team of local women from the community of Calderon. They incorporate both marzapan and found object to create whimsical nativities. Nativity scene measures 4 inches high x 3.5 inches wide.
This Nativity scene was acquired through a Fair Trade organization. Fair Trade pays impoverished artisans a fair price for their work. Fair Trade puts people first, not profits.

I collect unique nativity sets and like them to be small. This one is perfect for my collection.

Although I think this is nice, like all the other nativities I have purchased here, I was disappointed with this one that the basket is not a nice shape and the bottom is not flat so the basket does not sit flat.
