A petite manger scene carved in Ecuador from Tagua nuts. Tagua is known as vegetable ivory for its beautiful, glossy appearance. The base of the nativity scene is the nut split in half, and the holy family and star are both carved from tagua.
Nativity scene from Ecuador measures 3 inches tall x 2.25 inches wide x 1.5 inches deep. As each one is handcarved from natural materials, some slight variation in size should be expected.
