Made by artisans in Madagascar, each nativity piece has some slight variation making each set one of a kind. Carved from responsibly harvested non-endangered banyan wood.

A lot of thought and care in this beautiful set!
This is a beautifully carved set. The faces are especially lovely and sweet. The baby looks like he’s smiling in his sleep! So adorable! The artist was very thoughtful and made the most delicate elements separate to better protect them in storage. Joseph and the shepherd’s very slender staffs are separate from the rest of the figures and come wrapped in a paper packet. The angel’s wings are removable, which allow them to look less chunky and heavy and more striking but also keeps them safe in the box in the off season. A nice set overall and definitely worth it to me!
