Wooden Nativity Scene from Tajikistan

Beautiful handmade nativity set from Tajikistan. Wooden pieces are hand-carved and hand-painted in traditional Tajikistan attire. A wooden box doubles as both storage for the nativity pieces and a stable scene and night sky backdrop.

Nativity scene from Tajikistan includes Mary, Joseph, the infant Jesus in manger, painted carpet for below the manger, three wisemen, angel, two donkeys, shepherd and three sheep. Wisemen measure about 3.75 inches tall. Wooden box measures 3.25 inches tall x 9 inches wide.

There is a small Christian minority in Tajikistan, primarily composed of Russian Orthodox Christians and Roman Catholics. For the photo we placed a book inside the box and draped it with a piece of blue cloth (not included). A new favorite unique nativity set here at YonderStar.
